• Bachelor's Degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, IT or other related fields
• At least 2-3 years experience Data Stage ServerFdition and/or Data Warehouse
• Excellent knowledge of Unix (particularly scripting) DB2 (SQL and SQL PL) and DataStage EE
• Knowledge of both ETL and ELT, Pros and Cons of each and when to use each approach, Also need to understand the best plaform to perform certain operation, e.g. Join or aggregation to be performed DB or Datastage, etc.
• In-dept knowledge of components of EE, such plugins, stages and partitioning algorithm. The designer needs to understand which stage to use under different scenario, e.g. lookup vs join modify vs transformer
• A keen knowledge of best practices and standards and committed to follow thesee in the design
• Able to think architectural and able to strike balance among performance, maintain ability, flexibility, ease of sue complexity, etc
